The anthrax death toll in Saskatchewan has risen to 779 . . .
following the deaths of 53 animals last week.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says 5 new farms reported the
disease last week. The year-to-date total stands at 153.

One new rural municipality reported anthrax in the past 7 days. The
R.M. of Leask is located about 100 kilometers north of Saskatoon. A
total of 45 rural municipalities have had at least one anthrax case this year.
